How YouCORS works

Start with one base and one rover. Confirm the correction stream, then connect the rest of your crews.

Create your account: Register and verify your email to start the free trial.
Set up your caster: Use your dedicated NTRIP server and copy its connection details.
Connect a base: Configure a mount point and publish your base’s correction stream.
Connect your rovers: Give each device NTRIP credentials and the appropriate stream or group name.
Verify in the field: Check correction traffic in Sessions and confirm RTK status on the rover.

One connection name for a group of bases

Group the base streams used by your teams. With Nearest Base, a rover connects to the group and the caster selects the closest eligible connected base using the position the rover sends.

Selects an existing base stream using the rover’s NMEA GGA position and the group’s base coordinates.
The selected base can change during the same rover connection as new position messages arrive.
Requires periodic GGA from the rover, valid base coordinates and correction streams compatible with your receiver.

After a source change, check the rover’s RTK status. Switching does not guarantee an uninterrupted RTK fix or immediate recovery if a base disconnects.

Before you connect your first crew

Does YouCORS provide the RTK base stations?

YouCORS hosts the private NTRIP infrastructure that distributes your correction streams. You supply the base stations and compatible rovers, or an authorized external NTRIP source using Relay on an eligible plan.

Can we move a base station between job sites?

Yes. Set up the base at the new site, verify its position and reconnect its stream. For Nearest Base, check the coordinates used by the group and reconnect affected bases after changing them.

What does our equipment need to support?

Your base must be able to publish an NTRIP correction stream, and your rover must be able to receive it over the internet and use its correction format. Nearest Base also requires periodic NMEA GGA position messages from the rover.

Does Nearest Base guarantee a continuous RTK fix?

Nearest Base selects a connected base stream; it does not create a virtual reference station or combine corrections. A receiver may need to re-establish its RTK solution after a change. Selection depends on position updates and available group members.

What should we test during the free trial?

Connect a base, configure a rover, confirm that correction data is arriving and check RTK status on your equipment. The 3-day trial includes Nearest Base and Relay, so you can evaluate your actual field setup before choosing a plan.
